Peak Alert Season June through September is when our Peak Alerts occur. During these alerts we ask our members to conserve energy use, typically between 1 and 6 PM on that day. This does not mean there is an energy shortage. It simply means shifting electric use from a high cost time period to a lower cost time period. As with the Load Management Program, shifting electric use provides savings to the entire Cooperative membership. Alerts are issued via text message; however, in lieu of this, you can simply conserve energy on the hottest weekday afternoons of the summer.
