Kim Docter
Northwestern REC holds nominating meetings in the early spring time. In 2011, the following Cooperative member was elected by the membership to serve on Board of Directors. Her term will last three years.
Kim Docter - District 6
Mrs. Docter was elected to the Board in 2007. In the short time she has been on the Board, Kim has completed all of the classes required to obtain her Certified Director Credentials and most of the classes to receive her Board Leadership Certification. Kim is a graduate of Villa Maria College, where she was honored by the PA Institute of Certified Public Accountants for excellence in accounting.
She is presently employed by the PENNCREST school district as a substitute teacher. In addition, she is in her third term as the Rockdale Township Tax Collector. In the past, Kim had a successful home daycare for 16 years and worked as a part-time office manager for KDL Industries.
Kim attends the Millers Station United Methodist Church where she has been a member since 1984. She currently holds the position of Treasurer and is on the Board of Trustees. Recently, she served as Chairman of the Building Committee during the construction of a new fellowship hall. She is a twenty-six year member of the Erie Motorcycle Club, holding at different times the offices of President, Vice-President, Treasurer and Secretary. Kim is also the newsletter editor for the Western Pennsylvania Retreads, a motorcycle organization for people 40 and older.
Kim resides in Cambridge Springs and has two children: Kristopher, a graduate of Mercyhurst College, and Emily, a high school senior. She has been a co-op member since 1985.
Board elections take place during Northwestern REC's Annual Meeting.
